What’s Up This Weekend in the Grand Cities?

This weekend the UND men’s hockey team takes on rival Wisconsin in a two-game series at Ralph Engelstad Arena, and the Grand Forks Park District hosts its 2013 Greenway Ski Days.

UND Men’s Hockey

  • vs. Wisconsin

“God of Carnage”

  • Fire Hall Theatre, 9:30 pm
  • Comedy about a playground incident that spurs the parents to gather in civilized fashion but things end up being less than civilized
  • Tickers – $8  (mature audiences)

Shadows Tribute show: The Night the Music Died

  • Empire Arts Center, 7:00 pm
  • The Shadows Band and the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra will perform a special tribute show to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, The Big Bopper, Bobby Vee, Gene Pitney, Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison
  • Tickets – $23 in advance, $25 at the door


Saturday, February 2

UND Men’s Basketball

  • Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, 2:00 pm
  • vs. Idaho State

American Heart Association 2013 Masquerade Heart Ball

  • Hilton Garden Inn, 5:00 pm – Midnight
  • Silent and live auction, dinner dancing
  • Admission – $100/person, $175/couple

Greenway Ski Days 2013

  • Greenway, 10:00 am – 1:30 pm
  • Cross-country skiing, sledding, ice skating, chili feed, sleigh rides
  • FREE and open to the public (all ages)
