What’s Up This Weekend in the Grand Cities?

This weekend, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the last few weeks of summer. GGFYP hosts its annual picnic, Enbridge Pipelines hosts a BBQ fundraiser for United Way, and East Grand Forks hosts its annual Heritage Days.

Thursday, August 15

GGFYP Annual Picnic

  • Lincoln Park, 6:00-9:00 pm
  • Bring your own beverage and a side dish to share
  • Family and friends welcome!

Grillin’ for a Good Cause – BBQ for United Way

  • Hugo’s (32nd Ave.), 11:00 am – 1:30 pm  *or until sold out
  • Cost: $5 – hamburger/brat, beans, sauerkraut, chips, dessert, and pop
  • All proceeds benefit the United Way of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks & Area

Open Mic Night

  • Mike’s Pizza, 9:00 – 12:30 am

Karaoke Thursday

  • El Roco Bar & Grill, 10:00 pm – 1:00 am

Friday, August 16

Friday Night Races – World of Outlaws

  • River Cities Speedway, 7: 30 pm

Diva Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk

Coffee with the Naturalist

  • Turtle River State Park, 9:30 am
  • Join the park’s interpretive naturalist for coffee or hot cocoa and chat about nature, the park, etc.
