Meet Melissa Korslien

My family and I moved here when InfoTech relocated its North Dakota office from Minot to Grand Forks. I’ve been with the company for the past six and a half years; I do client services, software training and business development. InfoTech is based in midtown Manhattan.

I love all things North Dakota: I was born in Fargo, grew up in Minot and went to college in Bismarck. I figured it was time to give Grand Forks a try!

I really enjoy the family activities and services offered in Grand Forks, especially the recycling program. If there was ever a nerd about plastic bottles, it’s me.

I graduated from the University of Mary with a Business Administration degree in 2007. During my college years, I served as Student Body President and did a congressional internship with Senator Byron Dorgan.

I’ve been involved with Minot Young Professionals, Greater Grand Forks Young Professionals and served as Chair of the North Dakota Young Professionals.

My husband, Johan, works for Ideal Aerosmith and we have a two year-old daughter Zoey, who loves to go for walks and play in the many parks across Grand Forks. We also have a spunky schnauzer named Gretchen; it’s great that Grand Forks is pet friendly so we can include her in our outdoor activities.

Our family loves to come here for weekend getaways. They love to stock up with goodies from L&M Meats, Dakota Harvest Bakery, Widman’s, Amazing Grains and Happy Harry’s.

My name is Melissa Korslien and I am a YP.
